Washington D.C. – Health Federation of Philadelphia (HFP) staff joined leaders and board members of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) from across the country in Washington D.C. last Thursday to advocate for continued federal support from members of Congress.

Philadelphia — A repeal of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and changes to the Medicaid program would have a profoundly negative impact on the people, organizations and clients supported by the Health Federation of Philadelphia (HFP).

January 16, 2017 – Terrell Johnson, one of the Health Federation of Philadelphia’s (HFP) health insurance navigator and community engagement specialists, was recently featured on a segment about men’s health for “In Focus” on PHL17. Hosted by Jennifer Lewis-Hall, the show focused on the importance of men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and preventative care.

December 12, 2016, Philadelphia, PA – Since the 2017 open enrollment period began on November 1 for Affordable Care Act coverage in the Health Insurance Marketplace, staff members from the Health Federation of Philadelphia (HFP) have helped over 585 people enroll with health insurance services, through the Marketplace or Medicaid.

The Health Federation’s Navigator team have been busy since the Affordable Care Act’s second open enrollment period began on November 15.  Staff placed at City Health Centers, Community College of Philadelphia, and library branches, as well as in our Center City offices have (as of 12/31):
